The Makeup – Something for the new and older members

• One of the many benefits of Rotary Club membership is the luxury of being able to travel the world and never miss a weekly meeting. Club members are welcome and encouraged while traveling to make-up the meeting missed back  home. Club locations may be found at www.rotary.org , Club Locator, for a community near your area [in the US or abroad].
• Other alternatives include: attending a Board Meeting, participation in a Club Project, participate in one of our projects, e.g. highway cleanup, Green Circle maintenance, YMCA/Lactic Edge marathon, attend an INTERACT or ROTARACT meeting or help with a RYLA weekend, etc.  Just sign-in so the secretary knows.
• There are also on-line or e-clubs being formed in a number of areas which with provide another alternative.  This internet alternative is developing rapidly, even in our own district. http://www.rotary.org/en/members/generalinformation/pilots/Pages/ridefault.aspx
• According to Article VIII, Section 1a of the Standard Rotary Club Constitution, attending one of these meetings counts as a make-up.  Make sure our Secretary knows – frequently a ‘make-up’ slip is provided but not necessary.
